These are the parts and tools you will need.
1 – Stealth Mount Valentine One receiver (provided)
2 – Original Valentine One Windshield mount with the suction cups removed (not provided)
3 – Allen Wrench (provided)
4- Ratchet or driver with an 8mm socket (not provided)
This image shows an exploded view of all the parts. The screw will be installed from the back and the lock nut will be at the very top.
Step 1: (Don’t remove the nuts from the screws) Slide the two screws on the receiver into the rectangular portion of the hole in the windshield mount and slide them up into the round hole.
By doing that you will not need to remove the nut. However if you are not able to slide it that way just remove the two nuts and insert the screw from the back.
(the screw here is shown in silver for contrast. The actual screw you receive will be black)
Step 2: Hold the receiver at the very top (the screw inside the round hole) and insert the allen wrench into the screw head and hold it as seen in the image above.
Step 3: Using the 8mm socket with the ratchet (or driver) tighten the lock nut. (note that you are holding the head of the screw with the allen wrench)
Step 4: Hopefully you have something that looks like this. Clip the windshield bracket into the detector as you normally do and plug the power cable.
That was easy. Next go to Mount the dock to your vehicle!
